Juniors and Seniors Learn to Be Rainmakers
As upperclassmen, juniors and seniors are just on the edge of their adult lives, whether they are on their way to a two-year or a four-year college, to the military, to an industry training program, or to the workplace and their first full-time job. They might also be considering entry into the Gig Economy (either part- or full-time) to earn the money they need for college or other life expenses.
If upperclassmen have been exposed to our materials from the beginning of eighth grade, then they have learned a lot. But they still have a lot of additional learning to do, and we are happy to help close at least some of the gaps they may still have about the world of work. Of course, and as usual, we impart that learning through challenging but fun activities and simulations that mimic the real world.
As of junior year and into senior year, participating students officially become ‘Rainmakers Candidates’ and begin their work in The Rainmakers Internship Preparation Program (RIPP). RIPP builds on the lessons learned in grade eight (as part of our First Rung program) and in freshman and sophomore years with our Stormy Wannabees Advantage Initiative.
